Charlotte Glasson is a British multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, composer and session player, playing soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone, flute, alto flute, piccolo, clarinet, bass clarinet, violin and viola, penny whistle, melodica, percussion, and saw.

As well as running her own band, Charlotte is a multi-instrumentalist session player and arranger. Currently on tour with The Waeve and Stornaway, her skills with her Tenor sax, flutes and Violin/Viola are always in demand. Previously, Charlotte has played and toured with The Divine Comedy, Clare Martin, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Barry Adamson, Nerina Pallot, and Chris Hodgkins. Her musical vocabulary is subtle and endlessly versatile.
Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, Charlotte brings a huge bag of tricks to play with her, and this album is no exception. Tenor Sax, flute and strings all feature, along with the Guitar of Chris Spedding, Mark Bassey on Trombone, Chris Kibble on Piano, Lloyd Coote on bass and sousaphone, and Sam Glasson on Drums and Percussion. Theirs is a contemporary jazz, free of anxiety, yet full of grace and fun, bringing to mind the endless skies of a summer morning, or the hot buzz of a glorious seaside sunset. This is music for a positive frame of mind.
