Our Online Ticketing and Access Scheme

We are delighted to announce we are now working in partnership with Nimbus Disability, using their Access Card Scheme to make ticketing and access to the theatre more inclusive for customers with accessibility requirements, especially with online booking now being available for access seating and ticketing. Nimbus Disability is a social enterprise and an organisation run by and for disabled people and is recognised as a leading authority on accessible ticketing in the UK.

How do I register?

If you don’t have an Access Card, our partners at Nimbus can undertake a FREE application for you to obtain a Chequer Mead Digital Access Pass (DAP) so you can book tickets for your visit.

There is also the option to upgrade to an Access Card for £15.00 should you wish to apply for broader recognition.

The Access Card is a universal way of clearly conveying your access requirements to thousands of organisations, venues, events, and ticketing systems across the UK and beyond. View the directory here.

For more information about the Access Card, please visit their website

If you already have an Access Card, you’ll just need to link your card with Chequer Mead via the registration process. Link your card here.

If you are not able to use online  forms, Nimbus will be able to assist with telephone registration. Please call 0330 808 5108 to arrange applying over the phone.

What Happens next?

Applications can take approximately 5 days to be processed.

Once your application has been approved, Nimbus will provide you with a unique registration number via email, which you will then be able to use to link your access requirements to our ticketing system. Link here.

If you are not able to use online forms, call our box office 01324 302000 for assistance with linking your number with our system.

Linking your existing Access card to your account

The Access Card scheme covers multiple venues all over the UK and beyond. If you already have an Access Card, you can link it to your Chequer Mead account. Don’t worry if you haven’t got an online Chequer Mead account, we will create one for you when you link your Access Card and then you can log in from our homepage using the, ‘Forgot my password’ Link.

If you have a Chequer Mead Digital Access Pass number via Nimbus you can follow the same process as above.

Why is the process changing and how does this benefit me?

This will enable us to fully understand the access requirements of our customers and provide reasonable adjustments, such as access to certain seating and essential companion tickets.

Nimbus is a Social Enterprise that has received international recognition for operating the Access Card Scheme. Nimbus is run by, and for, disabled people. The system offers greater privacy, as disabled people with access requirements will no longer need to carry supporting documents or explain circumstances to staff. You’ll only need to supply information once to the Access Card team, who can then issue you with your card or ID.

Our commitment to accessibility remains unchanged. Our team is here to support you if you have any questions or need assistance. For further support, please email [email protected] or call our box office 01342 302000

Remember – if you have specific access requirements, do get in touch with our box office and we will be more than happy to do all we can to make your visit a great experience.
